The Second Universal War “Emergence”: The “Emergence” or more commonly known as The Second Universal war which came to be due to the younger races trying to rise to power, since the First Universal war ended as more of a stalemate the younger races saw this as a chance to strike and overthrow this universes chosen watchers. Since there were only few watchers kept to keep an eye on the ten separate Universes their numbers were over exerted and over stretched making it extremely hard for even them to withstand a full on assault from an armada of the younger races forces. In a sense you could see this as an army of ants fighting against one wasp, sooner or later they will become swarmed and overpowered by sheer numbers. Even the quality of these warriors had its limits, as the younger races technology progressed at an accelerated rate the mass production of super powerful weapons began to pose a small issue to the Watchers that would need to be rooted out and dealt with. Soon even old enemies would have to become a means to help them cull this Emergence of destruction and attempt to overthrow the watchers, soon the beings of the old known as the Elder races would have to be an option to make this war end as easily as untaxing as possible. Before the watchers were designed to watch over the Universes they were created to make sure the Elder races who were tricked and locked away by the new gods in the darkest cores of the Primal Void which was but one part of three sections of the Void itself. The five Originals known as the Elder races would agree to help the Watchers because at one point before this Multiverse was created they were the ones who did the Watchers job, the names of these races were clear and they had done more then enough to earn them. The five Elder races who were strong enough to pose a threat to just about anything in the Multiverse were the Malakim “The Genocide”, Nodos “Sun Eaters”. Megagog “Transcenders”, Chthonians “God Slayers”, and the Primal Void Seraphim “The World Breakers” or commonly known as “The Will of Chaos.” Coming to the conclusion that they would have to make a deal to gain the Elder races support, The Watchers decided to strike a deal with them. For their help, they would gain full control over the Void, but they must leave the new gods (The Watchers masters) alone and leave the balance between those who help the gods and those who kill the gods to the Watchers and Chthonians. Once signed this treaty was known as the “Enigmata Treaty”, and from that moment working side by side the Elder races and Watchmen would set across the ten Universes and multiple realms culling all violence and attempts to overthrown the Watchers in their Universes. This was the Emergence of a new alliance and era for the multiverse Commonly known as the “Golden era” from the long period of peace and prosperity, but even the Watchers and Elder races knew that it would not last long.
Out of this peace came a downtime for many of the races that the Elders used to their advantage. Some Elders went off to finish restoring peace to the edges of the universe where skirmishes happened here and there while others just went back to doing nothing. Alexandra did a little of both and something in between. She realized how unstable the universe actually was. She knew it was like that before but seeing how something so small could turn into something so bloody, she knew that it was time to settle herself down and maybe do something about it or help to prevent a Third Universal War. She searched for many years to find somewhere which she could call home or settle down and do something with her life. She had spent so many years wandering around the universes and stepping in when needed, but after such a long period of time (in relation to other things) fighting, she didn’t want to settle down and rest. It was going to cause her to become a Consumed much faster; if she kept her mind active it was less likely to happen.
Finally she came across a planet which would be perfect for what she needed. The name of the planet was Traeria and the races which once inhabited it were long gone from the first Universal War as they had abandoned their home towns. The world was mostly barren with all types of terrains which could be offered; mountains, desserts, oceans, hills, valleys, you name it. But dotted around the world were cities which were ghost towns, only the breeze keeping the city alive for now. Almost all the buildings were still in good condition, still standing though in some did need some work to bring them back to their full glory but something such as this wouldn’t be an issue for Alexandra and she choose this world as her homeland. She knew that those who lived here would never return as leaving would be hard enough; coming back would be next to impossible. The land was not advanced, living in a ‘Gilded Age’ of their own. Most of the buildings had a modern type of finish and were metallic in nature on the outside, shining in the sun, but inside they were warm and peaceful.
She had spent many days walking around the first city she had found, which turned out to be the most developed, looking for a main place to call her home, and after a thorough investigation she found where she was looking for. Along the back of this building was a drop off cliff which stopped people from attacking from the rear and having to come more from the sides or front.
The front of the building was opulent, reaching high into the sky. It looked more like a church if anything but once you entered the building it was like entering an entirely different world. The insides were brown in nature, most of it having a dark brown or deep red color which added a warmth to the building. Although the city seemed to be advanced, electricity didn’t operate here and it didn’t bother Alexandra though as fire was her friend and the friend of many supernatural creatures which she knew. The main Guild hall was massive, the ceiling ad door way reaching high enough so that almost all races would be able to enter the room with ease. It was also big enough that those who wished to have privacy would be able to get it while being in the same room as a bunch of other people.
After she had settled down and giving the room a quick cleaning over (this particular room only had dust while the rest of the city would need a little more work) she went into the entrance way and took a deep breath before quite literally punching the ground, shattering the tiling there to reach down into the ground beneath which was soil once she got deep enough down. Summoning a portal of her own which lead into her void, she quite literally pulled out a tree. It was a human enough tree but the significance was high to Alexandra. In the First Universal War, her brother had killed billions of people but only one race was completely extinguished (many races had been lowered to 2 or 3 members) and as a Watcher it crushed her soul, quite literally, to have wiped something out of the universes that she was supposed to watch and so, as a remembrances of this race, she took one of their trees which had been in the middle of a battlefield, surrounded by thousands of bodies. This tree clearly had a significance to the people of this world as they had seemed to protect it and so she took it upon herself to keep this tree and thus planted it in the hall. The trees were a yellow/red during the entire year so it fit in quite nicely with the room.
Within the entrance to the Guild
Now the purpose of this Guild took a lot of thinking about for Alexandra. She wanted fighters but she didn’t want people who killed because they wanted to; she wanted people with honor who would fight and kill to keep balance in the Universes. She knew that not all members would be able to uphold that completely but she would do her best to make sure that they would protect the best interest for the Universes, which was what she did, even if it meant the destruction of a group of people. She had the word spread about her home, or her new home, and had fighters come from far and wide, those who wanted a home, to fight against her, and then against others. She wanted those who wouldn’t expect to win every time against a Guild member and would take that in stride, learning from it. She wouldn’t let those who weren’t strong enough go out and bring balance yet. She trained with them and had others work with them as well to advance everyone’s fighting.
Then came the naming. She needed a name for what she ran. Who were they? What was their purpose? They would be a group of killers who would keep balance to the world. They were killers, they were assassins, they were mercenaries, they were hunters. Then the name came.
They were The Hunters Guild.
